Haruka Kiyono
@harurunnnnnnnnnn
Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1996. Graduated from the Department of Design, Osaka University of Arts in 2019.
Representative Director of SOJI Inc.
This exhibition is her first solo presentation of blown glass in Okayama, the place where she was born and raised.
Each work emerges through hand and breath, revealing the purity and beauty of natural imperfection in contrast to a society that so often demands perfection.
The glass, blown with a meditative mind, exists simply as it is, embracing even its distortions and bubbles.
Her vessels are free from excessive intention or ornamentation, yet faithfully capture light and shadow, showing new expressions with each placement and shift of light.
This summer, in a space quietly transformed by the movement of light, the works invite viewers to experience the quiet “as-it-is” essence of glass as it accompanies daily life.
Number of pieces: Approximately 40
During the height of the Obon season, we are pleased to present a blown glass exhibition by Okayama-born artist Haruka Kiyono.
Even in the sweltering summer heat, we warmly invite you to take this opportunity to visit.
