Born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Together with his wife, he runs the gallery SLANTWORKS while also working as a culinary creator and advertising photographer. In addition, as a photographer, he continues to pursue and document new discoveries found in everyday life and during his travels.

Starting September 6th, we will host a photography exhibition by Kiyonobu Hirota, a photographer from Miyagi Prefecture.

The exhibition is titled “WATER SIDE MOMENT.”
It features photographs taken during his journeys around the world, including Hawaii, San Francisco, Portland, and Cuba. Each image, imbued with the atmosphere of distant lands, invites you into the sensation of travel.

landscapes encountered at the water’s edge while traveling.
Amid the accelerating pace of the world,
water is always near—awakening the senses,
at times offering energy and ideas,
at times gently embracing us.
This exhibition presents photographs that capture those fleeting moments and gestures by the water.
